On Saturday, November 12, fourteen students from Temple Intermediate took part in a speech contest hosted by the Asian-American Advocacy Alliance (AAAA). The competition took place at the San Gabriel Mission, and the topic was: "Should Asian-American History Be Added in School Textbooks?"
There were close to thirty participants in the Middle School Division representing schools throughout Southern California. When all was said and done, Temple Intermediate students came away with the top awards. Alexandria Ling was awarded 3rd Place. Mona Boyd was awarded 2nd Place. Guanren "Happy" Wang won 1st Place.
Our Temple Intermediate Family is beyond proud of all of our participants. Furthermore, we want to express our sincerest appreciation for our teachers who coached our Temple Knights in preparation for the contest: Mrs. Anderson, Mr. Diep, Mr. Miller and Ms. Tam. This was an all-around team effort and success. KNIGHTS R.I.D.E!!!
